Zachary Graulich is currently a business student at John Carroll University where he is majoring in entrepreneurship.
Along with being a student, Zachary has founded Growler Distribution, a company that resells products on Amazon as a third-party reseller. Zach's business grew during the COVID-19 pandemic and allowed him to deliver products to customers that desperately needed them.
About Growler Distribution
Growler Distribution started after Zach had a conversation with friends at a graduation party about the idea of re-selling products on Amazon. This idea piqued Zach’s interest and motivated him to look into the process of becoming a reseller on Amazon.
Reselling on Amazon typically involves purchasing stock from elsewhere and offering it to customers on specific product pages. This is a similar process that Growler Distribution took and they sold anything they accessed.
Tragically in the pandemic, many businesses suffered and closed. But supply chain issues opened up the door for companies like Zach’s to connect customers with the products that they wanted and in some cases desperately needed. Growler Distribution was oftentimes able to circumvent these issues and deliver products to its customers.
Zac's Tips on Using Data and its Success for Growler Distribution
One of the key reasons Zac points to for creating successes for Growler Distribution is the use of data and numbers which help him determine what to sell and what products are doing well in the market right now.
This directly affects his business operations and the thought process that he takes before every resale.
An example of Zac’s use of numbers would be he studies product sales and analytics for different products on the Amazon site.
And if Zac notices a certain product sells well in April he’ll buy a lot of that product at a different point in the year and re-sell it on Amazon the following April.
This allows him to maximize profits and sales by understanding the market and types of products people want at different points in the year all through the use of data and analytics.
Zac's Advice for Entrepreneurs
Zac wants entrepreneurs to understand that there will be obstacles on the road when starting your business and you may face challenges that force you to change the way your business operates.
Zac sees obstacles as an opportunity for growth and a chance to get better and improve, even if it means changing the way your business conducts its actions.
"Entrepreneurs should learn from obstacles, see mistakes as an opportunity to pivot not pause."
Zac also wants to stress the importance of customer care and its possible benefits to creating success for a business. Zac describes “providing good customer service will help you stand out.”
In today's online shopping- driven world, customers have access to just about any business they want. Creating high-quality customer service can help your business stand out from the crowd and generate high-quality long-lasting customer relationships.
