From the Chief Executive Officer
EEC will be an influential coordinating voice and advocate for university-focused entrepreneurship education and innovation experiences in Northeast Ohio.
Dear Colleagues:
Welcome to the new Entrepreneurship Education Consortium (EEC) website!
Our team is building an exciting new future for EEC as Northeast Ohio’s collegiate entrepreneurship hub. I am honored to serve as the inaugural CEO of EEC, an organization redefining and growing its mission for the benefit of students, faculty, higher education institutions, and the larger community. We seek to provide quality entrepreneurship experiences for all students in the region and clear pathways of support as students grow their ideas.
Across the United States, communities of universities, innovators, businesses, nonprofits, students, faculty, and investors are forging ties and building ecosystems that serve the whole community through strategic connections and partnerships. Northeast Ohio has been at the forefront of this movement for more than a decade sharing resources and talent to help students build the entrepreneurial mindset. EEC is now ramping up its ecosystem building efforts to help students start ventures and find career opportunities in the region where they can share their talents and entrepreneurial skills.
We will seek and work with a wide array of partners to achieve this vision by developing a network of shared events and learning opportunities across universities, businesses and our online hub to be launched in 2023. EEC will connect to stakeholders through its online and in-person network for everything students need to pursue entrepreneurship in Northeast Ohio.
EEC will be an influential coordinating voice and advocate for university-focused entrepreneurship education and innovation experiences in Northeast Ohio. EEC is dedicated to becoming a key contributor to Northeast Ohio’s talent pipeline, helping diverse students gain technical and work experience that will position them to become innovators and entrepreneurial thinkers for new and growing ventures.
Our work is made possible through the vision and initiative of our EEC team, financial support from the community, and the strategic partnerships we are building across the region.
We are fully committed to connect our ecosystem building efforts across the full spectrum of the youth, university-based, and adult ecosystems to strengthen and expand the region’s talent pipeline for the future.
All the best,
Deborah Hoover, CEO
