As part of the 2024 Annual Meeting, the EEC Board, Member School Representatives, a few alumni, and community representatives gathered on November 15 for a Listen & Learn session to discuss shared goals and priorities for the organization. EEC has been selected to work with a team of volunteers through the Cleveland Bridge Builders program. A group of seven rising professionals will spend the next seven months exploring an alumni strategy for EEC. We look forward to tapping into the energy of the volunteer team!
Young Entrepreneur Institute held its annual Enspire conference on October 20-21, aimed at supporting K-12 educators as they introduce entrepreneurial concepts into their classrooms.
In October, the EDA announced the recipients of the Tech Hubs awards, including the Greater Akron Chamber, chosen from more than 400 applicants and the only recipient selected in Ohio. EEC is a collaborator on this project and will be working with GAC and other partners to connect university students to the cluster.
EEC Ohio is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors. Matt Poyle from Lorain County Community College and Sam Brenner from Boxcast joined the Board effective November 15, 2023.
