Welcome Bob Sopko: New EEC Ohio Board Member

Bob Sopko, Director of the CWRU LaunchNET, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Entrepreneurship Education Consortium Ohio.  A longtime member of the CWRU community, Bob supports students and alumni in starting businesses and provides guidance to enhance their knowledge and skills to achieve success. He previously served as a member of Information Technology Services, operating key strategic technology partnerships.  Bob also served on the management team of a Bain Capital-backed company, growing 80-plus annual High Tech recruiting events and 600 employment sites.

​Bob launched his career with Revco Drug/CVS Pharmacy and continued there for over 18 years. He was part of the team advancing the company from bankruptcy to a successful IPO. He also directed various marketing strategies with a strong emphasis on the creative use of technology.


Bob has been a stalwart ecosystem builder in our region, and follows the successes of his mentees with excitement. EEC Ohio warmly welcomes Bob to its Board, and looks forward to utilizing his exceptional networking talents to grow EEC’s base for the future.
