EEC Celebrates 15 Years of Ecosystem Building in Collegiate Entrepreneurship!

On November 3, 2022, Entrepreneurship Education Consortium celebrated its milestone 15th anniversary at Bounce Innovation Hub with members, friends, colleagues, funders, and community members!

We recognized the accomplishments of the past decade and a half, at the same time we are focused on reinventing EEC’s award-winning work across our region and beyond! EEC’s transformation includes thinking broadly about our strategic partnerships and our focus on the talent pipeline for the region.

The great news is, we are starting from a position of strength! The inventive startup stories that flow from EEC’s impressive efforts over the last 15 years are wide ranging & inspiring—wearable tech, children’s books, healthcare innovations, consumer products, social ventures, specialty foods, all manner of Apps, sports injury protection, and many many more innovative ideas. 

These innovations speak volumes about the ingenious ideas percolating on our NEO campuses. For all students, even if their venture does not progress, the EEC experience generates entrepreneurial skill building and mindset evolution.

EEC is now ramping up its ecosystem building efforts to help students start ventures and find opportunities in the region where they can share their talents and entrepreneurial skills.

​EEC will continue to operate some programs as we have in the past, but we will also be supporting and partnering on programs offered by our members and other community organizations.

​We will be doing the challenging work to pursue advocacy and promote systems change so there is wider recognition of the lofty goals and full potential of our collegiate entrepreneurship ecosystem.

This includes closer ties to industry, deeper understanding of the demands for specialized talent, and broader financial support for our university-based ecosystem.
