The programs offered by EEC provide Northeast Ohio college students interested in entrepreneurship and technology the opportunity to develop business skills, gain real-world experience through internships, network with professionals, and potentially receive funding and scholarships. Students can participate in webinars, receive mentoring, compete in pitch competitions like IdeaLabs, and get reimbursed for tech certification courses through the Micro-Credentials program.
The goal is to equip students with entrepreneurial knowledge so they feel empowered to launch a tech business or side hustle in Northeast Ohio after graduation. |

Tech Internship ProgramTen students will be chosen to intern with NEO startup companies every year. At these companies, students must complete about 160 hours of work in STEM and tech-related areas to utilize their skills in a real-world setting. Students selected for the program will be invited to Tech Side Hustle webinars and have the opportunity to receive mentoring and a scholarship to pursue certifications.
Micro-Credential ProgramMicro-credentials allow students to make quick and accelerated leaps in their education and professional skill-building through short courses and certification testing. Students attending selected EEC member institutions are eligible to receive guidance and mentorship through a designated faculty member. This is a pilot program and EEC plans to expand in the future. |
