Every year EEC Ohio sponsors ideaLabs, an idea competition where undergraduate students from across the region compete for prizes and recognition. ideaLabs encourages all students, from every discipline, to think about new venture ideas, apply the feasibility study methodology and answer the three key questions: Is there a market? Do the financials make sense? And what resources are necessary? Undergraduate students from NEO universities enter the competition on their respective campuses and develop their business ideas. The top two from each of our 13 EEC member schools are invited to the regional competition where they present to local judges for cash prizes. Judges represent local businesses and entrepreneurship organizations. In 2024, Ashland University has generously agreed to serve as champion of the event!
