Morgan Startup Grant

The University of Akron Research Foundation and the Fitzgerald Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies are proud to announce the availability of the Morgan Startup Grant supported by The Burton D. Morgan Foundation. This program aims to support new ventures looking to grow! ​

Please complete the application linked here to request up to $1000 to use towards helping your venture generate revenue.

Who should apply? Entrepreneurs, including students, faculty or alumni from UA or other Ohio-based universities, as well as community entrepreneurs from our northern Ohio entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Funding is limited and not guaranteed. Awardees may also have the chance to present their businesses at several local opportunities in the Fall of 2024.

Awardees of this microgrant must, at minimum:

• Meet with the program mentors 2 times to discuss your business
• Provide necessary information for reporting
• Complete self-paced social media training module and post necessary checkpoint posts
