Service-based businesses require unique strategies to be successful. Luckily, Sarah and Leon not only dreamed up solid ideas for much-needed services, but they learned ways to manage customer relationships and put the Four P's of Marketing (product, place, price, and promotion) to use -- in between studying for finals and hanging out with friends, of course.

Morphoneogenesis

Simply studying physical therapy, exercise science and human biology just wasn't enough for Leon. Launching Morphoneogenesis took his interests to the next level. An online platform, Morphoneogensis enables customers of varying skill levels to get in shape and meet their fitness goals.

While playing team sports, Leon began to connect fitness with health science and the importance of helping others navigate the seemingly endless possibilities for getting into shape. Leon established a network of mentors and friends with backgrounds in finance to help him align his pricing with the value Morphoneogenesis provides its customers.

Boondock Boarding

​An environmental studies major with a love of the outdoors, Sarah combined her interests and passion with an emerging desire to launch a venture in the dog service industry. And just like that, Boondock Boarding burst onto the Northeast Ohio regional pet care scene, offering boarding, bathing, rescue and limited training services.

​Running Boondock isn't only about Sarah's love of pets. Her business values innovation and sustainability, employing efficient energy sources and solar power where possible -- and the Boondock team even uses biodegradable bags to deal with doggie waste.​ Sarah's story is proof that you can combine your skills and values into a successful venture.
